OTC Viagra — just in time for Valentine’s Day!

From BBC News:

The anti-impotence drug Viagra will be available on the High Street without a prescription from 14 February. Boots the chemist is introducing a trial scheme at three of its branches in Manchester. Men aged between 30 and 65 will be able to buy four pills for 50 after a consultation with the pharmacist.

Robert Basler offers this perspective on Boots’ move on the Reuters blog:

Here’s the possible rub. The pills are expensive – nearly $25 each – so many men may end up having to choose between spending their Valentine’s Day money on red roses, or blue pills. I know where I think the lines are going to be.
