However, many don’t know this but epsom salt is not the same as your common table salt. Coming from a saline spring in Epsom, England, it is composed of the minerals magnesium and sulfate.

1.) Exfoliation

Not a bath person? Use Epsom salt in the shower as a scrub to reveal soft, glowing skin. Combine olive oil, Epsom salt, and a couple drops of essential oil then gently scrub and rinse.

2.) Deter Slugs

Keep slugs away by sprinkling Epsom salt along entryways.

3.) Facial Cleanser

Epsom salt is gentle enough to be used on the face. Blend a small amount with your cleanser and use as directed to brighten and smooth the skin.

Sprinkle Epsom salt in plants to deter insects.
