Avoiding a c-section |
|
|
I'm expecting a baby in about 3 months. I'm living in a different area than I was when my older kids were born, and the rate of c-section here is staggering, in my hospital it's 32% of births! So I'm scared; even though I've had two successful vaginal births. What can I do to keep that knife off me! |

I'd make your wishes VERY clear. I didn't want one either and I DIDN"T. Make sure everyone is aware and be prepared to make it clear again! |

There are many options even during labor if they find the baby to be breach or any other issues that they say require C-section the have the option of trying to manually turn a breach baby and also there are positioning tricks that can be used quite successfully during labor. But in the case of umbilical cord being wrapped or rapid heart rate I would immediately opt for the C-Section for both your sakes. |

Dont be affraid to voice you opinion, needs and wants. It is your choice to have your baby how you want, dont be worried, just be certain that you will not be pushed into something that you do not want.
In my view a c-section should only be used as an emergency measure should a natural birth run into complications |
