Liquid alternatives? 

Can you get common OTC medications in a liquid form if someone has difficulty swallowing pills? I have a niece who hates swallowing pills so bad that she will suffer with a headache or other things. She's a 13-year old and adult-sized so she is well past the children's liquid medications.

Any compounding pharmacy would be able to make a prescription in liquid form. A quick google search turned up that you can purchase adult strength over the counter liquid medicines, however I have never seen any in my local stores so I suspect they are difficult to come by.

I have had to get liquid medicine myself, I am terrible with swallowing pills, I have a very sensitive gag reflex. I got mine from the pharmacist.

I have seen this in many instances. I do not believe it is available for all items as I had an elderly lady who had issues swallowing pills and we had to crush them.

Yes, you can, just ask at the pharmacty for a liquid version. I know because I am just the same and am 30...something years old!!!
