Brain Tumor Removal |

The daughter of a good friend of ours recently was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor the size of a man's fist. She was told that it was operable but she would likely need to relearn to speak and might have other trouble as well. We all prayed for everything to be alright. She went in for the surgery last week. It was removed successfully. When she regained consciousness she was able to speak without any trouble at all. Within a few days she could walk and now she is doing so well she is at home convalescing at home with her husband and two young children. |

AS a guy who had a stroke that was sure to kill him (according to doctors) and spent a year in a rehab facility that was going to be his home for life (according to nurses) and who now has lived alone without incident in an apartment in his Florida town of birth, let me tell you from a personal perspective that the medical professional usually only gives the worst csse scenario. Good for her! |

I wish that the tumor will never come back, although I think there is still a possibility of the tumor coming back. The doctors that did the surgery are the ones to be appreciated because they did a great job. |

It helps so much when people with cancer and their families can hear stories with such a good outcome.
Every time I hear that cancer has been conquered, I feel that one bit better that there might be hope for my sister too.

I think she is pretty luck as brain operation is a very high risk operation and might render one unconscious for life. Anyway,congratulation to her. |
