I grew up in a family that didn't have insurance. My mom was a stay-at-home that did work for cash on the side, and my dad was a contractor, so neither got insurance through their workplaces. As I got older, it was something I looked for in job benefits and I'm good to go now.
I have a friend who doesn't have insurance, though, and with a little one on the way, she's hoping to get insurance somehow. The closest she's found has been really high priced through a third party company, so what can I do to help her? Are there decent insurance companies outside of those offered through workforce programs? |
