Sudden Allergy

we have this one pillow, we all loved. It ancoie feather pillow. Have had it for years. its washable, and we often take it to the big washer and pound it clean. Never ahd any problems.
LAst week my daughter woke up with her eyes all red and her face on fire.
what had changed.. nothing. she used her pillow cases her blankets. all was the same.

It turned out to be an allergy to the pillow.
we bought soem new pillows and boom she was ok. she slept again with that pillow and she had the same reaction.

I developed a suddena llergy to plums. I love plums, but when i eat one, my throat closes.
teh same with bread.
I have to take a bendryl if i am going to eat bread.

so. if you all of a sudden get areaction to a food that you ahve been eating, or something that you have worn, slept with or used it could be a spontaneous allergy.

Your body chemistry changes every seven years or so. You might wake up one day and have a severe allergic reaction to anything. It happened that way with my husband and fish. He can't eat fish now, it bleeds him if he does.

I grew up on Bean and ham soup and burritos and then all of a sudden 3 years ago became allergic to beans. I am not sure how it occurs but I too have heard that over exposure to something when you are younger can give you a greater chance of having an allergy to it in adulthood.

I had no alergies at all until a couple of years ago, when I started getting rashes if I ate prawns. My ears would itch and swell too. It hasnt happened yet this year.

Supposedly allergies can develop with age. Luckily, I don't have any really major allergies yet.

I was taking celebrex after my shoulder surgery and did fine. Then I had to have the surgery again and I had an allergic reaction to the celebrex. I broke out in hives and itched like crazy all of a sudden.
