What things can promote increased hair growth in a typical head of hair? I am not referring to people with any type of baldness, just to speeding up healthy hair growth and/or improving the quality of your hair (strength, sheen, texture, etc.). |

As a cosmetologist....we were told that hair loss is actually a sign of high testosterone. So bald men are more manly. You could say that. lol. I'm not sure how much truth is behind that anyways:) |

I have long hair and have had for most of my life. Its about three feet long from root to tip which puts it below my buttocks. I've never had any of those special long hair products really work. Some people don't have hair that is meant to be long, whether its diet or treatment. I don't dye my hair, I don't blow dry or flat iron it, and I don't use alot of product either. I've cut it once to donate and it took about a year to grow back to full length (cut off about 1/2). |

Would that mean that male or female with hair that doesnt grow too much has a low % of testosterone in their body's? I have wondered this too and its hard to find a legit fully scientific answer out there. Its like the question of why the grass is green. :) |
