Antibiotic Resistance

What do you think is the main cause of antibiotic resistance - the increased use of antibiotics in the food we eat, or the over prescribing of antibiotics and misuse by patients?

I think its a lot to do with how many times we have used a certain antibiotic. Your body just won`t respond anymore. I didn`t know they put antibiotics in food? How did I miss that? lol

I think it's that doctors prescribe it too often so our bodies become immune to it. The posters in the doctors offices say that viruses actually become immune to the anti-biotic and then when a person takes it- It does nothing.
