It's not an ingredient but a component. There are a large amount of antioxidants in it, and they help reduce free radicals in the body, which cause damage. It's good stuff for you.

Antioxidants are a terrific thing. Green tea does give me one concern though. Most people are not aware that it also contains significant amounts of caffeine and that has more to do with it giving it's advocates a lift than the healthy stuff.

There's plenty of caffeine free green teas around so if you don't want the caffeine you can find green tea without it.

Green tea is supposed to help fight cancer too.

It is the way that green tea is prepared that make it different from other teas.Green tea leaves are steamed; thus preventing its anti oxidant property from being oxidized. By contrast, other teas such as oolong and black tea leaves are made from fermented tea leaves, which makes the anti oxidant agent converted into another ingredient that is less potent in fighting and preventing various diseases.

I drink green tea for its antioxidant power. It also helps with weight loss (somewhat; nothing miraculous).

As to the taste though, I have to admit I prefer regular tea. Green tea seems too weak to me.

Tea actually also has Theophylline. Its a diuretic and ACE inhibitor.
Gren eta is genler as its not toated like other cured teas.
I I prefer white tea, spiderleg, dragonwell, slivertip and oolong with hibiscus. Russian caravan is great.
Shop stash for the variety.
