This is one of those OMG facts:
When you go to the bathroom on a plane, you are wasting fuel!
The fuel used for every flush on an in-flight airplane could run a car for 6 miles!
One more, but very important, reason to go to the bathroom before you get on a plane.

This is ok if it is a short trip but I fly across the country and there is no way I could hold it that long. I wasn't aware that it burned fuel and don't see why it would because it is powered by electricity.

I wasn't aware either that flushing used fuel, much less, so much. However I avoid using any public facility as far as possible - now I have a green reason. |
