Light therapy-Tanning

My doctor actually told me that tanning once a week or every other week is actually good for you. It seems to make me happier and he said it kills of germs. Crazy huh?

not really. good advice, but he shoudl ahve added dont overdo.
When you are in a tanning booth you are using the same therapy as a light box for SAD.
Your converting D and A.
The antibacteriial action on tehg skin is an age old therapy as well. Certain lightwaves kill off certain bacteria and prevent some illnesses...

I haven't heard about tanning killing germs but if your doctor told you that I'd listen to him.

However, I don't think it's safe to go to tanning salons so often. I'd be very wary of them.

Definitely look into it and I would get a second opinion. My daughter can go tanning for only 5 minutes total and it helps her psoriasis along with her other meds, etc. I have never heard that it kills germs and would do more research into that for sure.

For me in a tanning bed helps my back of all things. The intense heat is the only thing that works for me right now and I should schedule a time to go visit one soon.
