Additional Comments: |
I was looking on the Advil website and I noticed that this drug may cause stomach bleeding because it contains a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug or NSAID.
You increase your risk if you are...
- 60 years of age or older and have had bleeding problems or stomach ulcers.
- Taking a blood thinning agent (anticoagulant) or steroid drug.
- Taking any other drugs containing an NSAID; such as: aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, etc...
- Drinking 3 or more alcoholic beverages every day while you are taking this medication.
- Taking more advil than directed or take it for a longer time than directed.

Additional Comments: |
I took this drug after a day of hard work when my body was aching. It didn't really take any effect, I took two in the morning, than two again in the afternoon. The pain that I had been experiencing was general muscle ache - therefore I thought Advil would do the trick. I was wrong.
It made me sick to my stomach - I didn't have anything in my stomach - close to the point of being nauseous. For a bottle of one hundred it's a great deal but I don't think that they are strong enough for the pain that I was in. I would be doubtful that it would work for headaches.
It is important to avoid Advil if you have stomach ulcer or bleeding problems - as well as if you are allergic to NSAIDs. |
